Picture of Valérie, the guide of D-Day Remembrance Tours

My name is Valerie VAULTIER.

I was born and raised in Normandy and first started guiding in 2007 on the First World War battlefield of Verdun. In 2014, I went back to Normandy and worked at the Memorial Pegasus, where I met a number of World War II veterans and their families. It was in 2016 that I started as an independent guide along the D-Day beaches with Military Might D-Day Tours. In 2022, I also worked as a Certified Interpretive Guide at the Normandy American Cemetery.

As part of the duty of remembrance and as a representative of my late grandfather who was an Army Resistant I am a member of the Association Française Buchenwald-Dora et Kommandos and of the Amicale d’Auvergne du Génie et des Transmissions. I also support the Glider Pilot Regiment Society.

Each of my tours are personalised to offer an in-depth explanation of the relevant events with stories of both sides and personal accounts of the men and women who were there and fought for the liberation of France and ultimately the freedom of Europe.
